when i had the pleasure of picking my favorite things from lulus.com this peony printed dress was the first thing to catch my eye. better than a real bouquet, it was most certainly love at first click. the bright boldness and stunning spring color palate (not to mention the two cutie patootie front pockets!!) had me hoping for a string of sunny days so i could wear it always. the scoop neck and short boxy shape makes this piece flirty, fun and warm weather appropriate while the loose fit leaves any worries of discomfort at the door. i chose to pair it with a deep blood orange statement necklace and my favorite gifted bracelet from wanderlust via my lucky fabb grab bag (loving the layered daintiness of it!). otherwise i was sure to let the dress speak for itself by accenting with neutrals like nude and gold everywhere else. perfect for brunch with the girls, a day date with your man, a mothers day celebration, or even to brighten up that 9-5 shift at the office. any piece this effortless that makes me feel pretty just by putting it on is a keeper in my closet for sure.
i finally have the weekend off so today i will be swimming laps and taking care of some home decorating. i want to brighten up the place with color! and tonight ill be indulging in some self-serve frozen yogurt (and yes i pile mine sky high with toppings. you know cookie dough will be one of them) and watching django with the fam bam. my parents still havent seen it! saturday aj and i are going to the burbank farmers market and then im hanging by the pool with my best girlfriend arielle to catch up on these past busy weeks. sunday aj and i decided were going to the beach and i couldnt be more excited to dip my toes in the sand and finally open a book again and get lost in another world for awhile, maybe throw the football around and snuggle under the sun (hopefully i get some color!)
what are your weekend plans?
