denim is everything. imagine a moment in your life that mattered and you were probably wearing it in one form or another. and if you had to sell your entire closet (god forbid!) i would be willing to bet you would fight hard to keep that one pair of jeans. theres just something so familiar, nostalgic and classic about denim. good chambray can make you feel calm, chic and collected. not to mention downright comfortable. so when i found this soft light button-up by sanctuary at marshalls i died and went to denim heaven. it was the perfect piece to pair with my go-to dark skinnies. i think thats the trick to matching same fabrics, just add contrast via different shades, block with a neutral textured belt and include a pop of print like these pointed-toe leopard studded flats. i also wanted some subtle color and the beautiful ellie ombre necklace i won from an ellandemm giveaway was exactly what the denim ordered. you cant go wrong with pastel pink. but, these aviator ray-ban sunnies i spontaneously borrowed from my sister on the spot certainly steal the show! im planning to play with eyewear this season, the fun details, shapes and accents im seeing are just the accessory needed to complete a beach-bumming, barefoot-running, park-picnicing, pool-partying, ice-cream-eating ensemble.

CHERISHED COMMENTER OF THE WEEK
this beauty is the best of the best when it comes to brightening my day, i can tell she actually takes the time to read what ive written and always takes more than just a measly moment to respond making her comments stand out. she notices the little things and its impossible not to notice her impeccable taste and pretty face (can you say liv tylers twin?) from dainty details to perfect print pairing and layering, i cannot get enough of her very vintage, inventive, feminine, fashion-forward style. thank you thank you lovely for posting looks that kill and leaving words that flatter far after youve left them.
