Almost Famous

to make a long story short, classic rock consumes me. not the drugs and promiscuous lifestyle, the travel and the stage, the fame and fortune. but, the way the truth lies right there in the lyrics. the way the artists souls sit still in the air and turn your silent surroundings into an intimate moment with your own self. whenever led zeppelin, acdc, the eagles, fleetwood mac, the rolling stones, lynyrd skynyrd, journey, and all the rest come through my speakers (which is often if not always) i am free, alive. i am home. theres a certain nostalgia, this hidden understanding. and yet, simultaneously, something entirely unknown, that innate desire that comes with distance from something you love, which surfaces all at once. and with this look i wanted to capture that honest and uninhibited sense of truly being in a moment and appreciating the deep energetic pull of that one song and the way it has the ability to leave you empty, satisfied, full of thoughts and speechless all at the same time. the simple black high-low tank that caught the breeze beautifully, especially paired with the ankle boots emitted vitality and this pair of floral mini shorts is one of my favorite spring finds, bringing a pop or print and pastel color. i challenge you to channel your inner penny lane, but dont you dare tell me im too sweet for rock n roll.
