Love The Way You Leather

first and foremost i want to apologize for taking a week to post something new, its hard coordinating schedules with my sister to find a time that fits us both, thank you for your patience, support, and love im hoping this look was well worth the wait. not going to lie, pairing these pieces was a big risk for the play it safe girl in me. but, after reading an article on lauren conrads website suggesting the merge of leather and floral, i knew i just had to give it a try. the button up blouse was immediately right up my alley because it was sheer and i thought the print almost looked like the brush strokes of a spring painting with those pastel yellows, pinks, and oranges. this skirt also caught my eye with its black and white striped waist and the floral print tights were a last minute decision due to the gloom that graced us with its presence this morning. paired with the ruffled, pleated satin bow-toe pumps, i think it works. the jewelry was inspired by the deep grey clouds and wet streets that surround my scenery today, the charcoal topaz jewels compliment and somewhat brighten the all black ensemble dont you think? the best part is, you could easily dress this down for a day date or errands around town by losing the tights and statement necklace, and grabbing a pair of color flats and putting those curls up in a loose ponytail.
