when savoir faire approached me for sponsorship i just about peed my pants (so good thing i wasnt wearing these just yet, theyre much too pretty for that)! and when i opened this pair in the mail i was equally as excited to attempt the lose-fitted flare bottoms ("parachute pant" if you will) trend. especially in such a perfect spring and summer print. i chose to pair them with my stunning brass arrowhead earrings and smokey ring and jewel-wrapped bracelet, a simple tucked orange tinted tee and my black strappy sandals.
what better day to show off flowers than mothers day right? such an important holiday to honor the women who not only love us unconditionally but went through labor and sacrifices to bring us into this world and continue to teach us the lessons needed to live in it safely and successfully. thanks to their unyielding support we are who we are today. im lucky enough to have two moms getting my natural beauty, multiple text sending syndrome, over exaggeration, hypochondriac nature, inability to put my head before my heart (what can i say were ruled by our emotions), talent for writing and love for the ocean from my mom. then i get my neat freak personality, bargain shopping sense, vintage style, downton abbey addiction, perfectionism, independence, creative crafty eye and preference for all things happy bright and pretty from my stepmom. all qualities i cherish and choose to celebrate today and everyday.
with the sun burning above us, i cant wait to wear these beauties with a crop top and sun hat for a barefoot day at the beach. somewhere in tahiti would be even better.
how do you feel about this trend? wheres your dream tropical destination?
