At First Blush














cookie dough, sunshine, sand in my toes, laughter, epiphanies, new beginnings, second chances, fresh cut flowers, a smile from a stranger, family dinners, forehead kisses, lyrics that have meaning, the hush in the morning air, city lights, campfires, catching your breath after a run, baby animals, curling up with a good book, rain against the rooftop, tears of joy, butterflies, going somewhere you've never been and coming home again. at first blush, all of these things touched my heart and they always will. they're the little things that count, the things that make a life, and these franco sarto heels and this top (both of which i scored at marshall's) are the latest additions. two of my favorite spring staples are a pair of strappy caramel heels and a sheer light colored (in this case pink) button up tank. you literally cannot go wrong. i chose to accessorize with my similarly colored leather jacket that's surprisingly been sitting in my closet until now. can you believe that? it was waiting for this moment to make its debut. if it's too warm for a coat, there's always a fedora for fun (probably should have added hats to my list, right?). and keeping it simple could be even better. i'm all about the whole less is more thing if you couldn't tell.
